OPERATIONS MANAGER

Brooklyn Delhi is seeking an Operations Manager to drive efficiencies across all aspects of the supply chain, including purchasing, production, inventory management, and logistics in a fast-paced, execution-focused, and dynamic start-up environment. This position is part-time (15-20 hours) to begin with the aim of ramping up into a full-time role. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with Founder and Ops team to plan production runs from ordering materials to managing vendor and copacker relationships and arranging freight to our 3PL warehouse.

  • Research and implement flexible supply chain systems to assist with Brooklyn Delhi’s rapid growth

  • Manage inventory in Cin7/Dear to track raw materials, packaging and finished goods and monitor yields and unit economics

  • Monitor demand planning and sales volumes to initiate quarterly production plans to keep inventory at optimal levels.

  • Establish additional procedures and metrics to measure operational efficiency

  • Develop and implement plans to significantly reduce COGS without sacrificing on quality across all spheres such as ingredients costs, freight, 3PL warehouse and fulfillment services, etc.

  • Support scale-up and commercialization of new products including identification of raw material, packaging suppliers and copackers which meet both capacity, cost and quality needs

  • Attend runs on occasions to ensure process is followed and quality standards are met across batches.

 
To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualities:
  • Extremely detail-oriented, deep knowledge of Excel, inventory management systems, creative thinker, and a knack for analytical problem solving
  • Self-motivated, thrives when challenged, entrepreneurial go-getter with the highest levels of integrity and good judgement
  • Strong desire and willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done well
  • Strong sense of ownership and urgency in all matters related to the health of the business
  • Team player, collaborative and an all hands-on deck mentality
  • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks in a scrappy, start-up environment
YOUR EXPERIENCE
  • Proven operations experience (3-5 years)
  • CPG supply chain background preferred. Past start up experience ideal
  • Experience working in Cin7, Dear or equivalent inventory management system
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficient in Quickbooks
